Welcome to our family restaurant! The New Mexicans was established in 2012 by a native of New Mexico. My husband Vince (an Italian immigrant) and I (a Pacific islander) bought the restaurant at the prompting of our daughter Michelle. She had worked here as a server ever since its opening, just on the weekends as a second job. When the original owner decided to sell the place in 2016, Michelle approached us with a great idea. Hey Mom and Pop, why not buy this restaurant that specializes in Southwest cuisine and hire me as your GM? Vince had been at Boeing almost 30 years at the time and I was in banking for close to 20 years and neither of us had any experience in the food service industry. So we both slept on it, researched the business then closed our eyes, held hands and jumped into the deep end together. Michelle guided us along since she had worked as a server since the age of 19. The original owner taught her how to bake and she continues to make all of our delicious pies, cakes and special desserts. She even won "Best pie in Everett," beating out the local bakeries in 2018.

It has been almost 4 years as owners of this Southwestern restaurant and we are all so proud of our success. Lots of hard work, long hours, "blood, sweat and tears" have been poured into our family business. We take pride in serving enchiladas, burritos, sopapillas and all the traditional New Mexican Hatch chile sauces. All of our meats are smoked including ribs, chicken, pork, beef brisket, hot links and kielbasas. We bake our bread, cinnamon rolls and all desserts in house. Our desserts and margaritas are the best in town. It has something to do with our fresh squeezed lime juice and premium tequila. My husband has worked at Boeing for 33 years now and says that this endeavor has been harder than building planes! We feel very blessed to provide delicious food for our community of Everett considering most of our regulars either work or live in the area. Our success has allowed us to be able to serve the homeless shelters and donate food at Thanksgiving to the less fortunate. Our situation is unique as well as our entire menu which most people expect to be "Mexican." New Mexico cuisine is traditionally spicy and really has some heat behind it so we also offer a Washington sauce that can be eaten by those who require a little less heat.

There's something for everyone at the New Mexicans so bring your appetite and let us fill your bellies with some good home cooked food!
